Prelude Music Tuition

Bernice Musu` Portelli is a professional Maltese musician. She has been playing the violin for 15 years and from there on she always wanted to expand her dreams.

She became a performer, playing in different events, from weddings to the Malta Eurovision song contest. She performed a lot with the string quartet called in Hillon and with orchestras such as the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra. She also took part in a video recording with Andrea Bocelli, the famous Italian tenor alongside the Mediterranean Orchestra. She did also music activities in retirement homes most specifically in Dementia wards.

Apart from performing,Bernice has a great passion for violin and theory of music teaching. She believes that teaching music can inspire and bring about awareness of how much music can benefit your daily life. She teaches students of any age and level and also she teaches students with learning difficulties such as Dyslexia and Autism. Her patience and dedication make her lessons ideal for everyone.

Bernice is a qualified musician having a Licentiate diploma in the theory of Music, an Associate Diploma in Music Performance ( both from Trinity College London), and a Diploma in the theory of music from the London College of Music.

Recently, she was accepted as an accredited member of the Music Teachers` Association of New South Wales and also formed part of the Australian Christian Orchestra, Ryde Hunters Hill Symphony Orchestra,Lake Macquarie Philharmonic Orchestra and The Symphony Central Coast .
